I think i already know the answer but i'll ask anyway......
I recently bought some BB5 callipers but now realise there are road and MTB versions, i have the road versions, the problem is i want to use them on a mountainbike. I'm guessing the difference is the amount of pull a road and mtb brake lever gives you, so am i going to die a horrible death by using these with V-brake levers or has anyone done just this and survived unscathed?
Any input/abuse gratefully received. 😀
I reckon that way round it will work although be alot sharper. Like when you use vbrake levers om cantis - nae modulation
Cheers trail_rat! 😉
you can buy spare arms on ebay @ ~£10. i'm not sure if you can swap them over...
You can get flat-bar levers that pull right for road callipers.
So, they'd also pull right for road BB5s.
APF
I use road BB7s on my ss mudbike - lets me set the pads well away from the disc
Works just fine
Alhough I'm sure the modulation's awful, I'm not endoing down any ramps so fine by me
