Fitted loads of bb's so know what I am doing. But, am trying to fit the bb to my new fixie frame and its only going about half way through the threads. I have tried to clean up the threads but still no luck. Has anyone got an idea of what might be going wrong. It is going in straight and everything.

I find BB threads frighteningly fine and easy to cross and to make sure I don't cross the threads I tend to thread everthing up flush by hand using the BB tool (I'm still using cartridge BBs) before using a wrench. If it sticks I usually find that it's a crossed thread so I back off and go again.
If you're sure that it's going in straight the threads might need chasing, which is generally an LBS job.
