Hi Chaps,
I've got a rubbish BB, and the bearing race on the drive side is stuck to the face of the XT crank arm. I've not tried to remove it yet, but before I stick a screwdriver and tap it up - are there any other options for removing the race?

Is it a Hollowtech chainset?
If so the bearing has ceased and your only option is to bash it off.
It may have cut a gouge in the axle also
That's pretty rubbish, the BB is only about a month old, and only been on the cranks for about 4 rides. Noticed that the BB had play, so took it apart, and drive side race stuck on the axle.
What would cause it to seize in that time? The axle was greased when installed.
Is it the type that sould be fitted with a rock and does it have pictures of octopii on it?
Why did my thoughts echo SBZ's?

Ha, awesome. Nope, it's not a SS one. It is aftermarket, but before I've spoken to the distributors I don't want to reveal the brand. Sorry chaps 🙁
