Having been to Morzine quite a few times (last time was 2011), and then going to Les Arcs in 2012, I swore I'd never return to Morzine! In short I'd ridden it all so many times, fed-up with braking bumps and lack of new trails (back then). However.....circumstances dictate that if I want my Alpine holiday this year, it will have to be Morzine.
I had a look at the .pdf trail maps published by the tourist board and can't see any new trails, as far as I can tell. Are there back country routes in the area and does anyone have any pointers on finding them, maps etc? Also does anyone offer guided all-day epics as CoolBus do, at Les Arcs?
Thanks-in-advance.
We booked Jo from http://www.ride-ability.com/ for a day last time we were there
Its well worth doing a day over in Samoen. You bike there via an amazing descent from les gets. Its also holding one round of this years EWS too so that says a lot about the calibre (and steepness!) of the trails.
Looking for similar myself
There's a few routes in the old Bikefax book including the Col de Coux route featured in Singletrack a while back
