I'm going up to Aviemore this weekend skiing, but it looks like there won't be any snow....

So, what options do I have for riding in the area, or within driving distance?

I'm guessing you can't use the funicular railway for anything other than skiing/snowboarding?

I'll be on the enduro bike so something with some nice descents chucked in would be ideal 🙂

There's too many decent routes to list, pop into bothy bikes and ask/buy the trail map pack as it's only a few £, or you could get your Gnarr on and play about in the trails at High Burnside

Glenn Einich route, Ryvoan bothy routes (various) etc…etc.

I would post more but i have to be at work…..(30mins ago - bugger)

Thanks, I've sent bothy bikes an email to buy a trail map of the area.

High burnside looks perfect too, do you know if the trails are easy enough to find? I'll have a look what I can find on strava explore.

Pop into the shop and they'll give you directions/draw on their maps as to how you'll get into high burnside, it's quite techy in places (possible understatement of the year)

(still not at work!……..)

Just had a look on a couple of youtube vids and it looks like its worth a day out there, dont mind techy but I do have to drive home after so will avoid anything too rad!

Nah, I wouldn't go to burnside, the trails aren't worth it, just locals mincers stuff 😉

How are the conditions up there? Most off piste stuff round my way is a bit gloopy!
