Fabulous day for it!
Trying to think of somewhere to take my 2 youngest biking tomorrow. Always hard as they are 9 and 4 so trying to think of somewhere that suits them both is hard...
Might try the bike park at Badaguish ๐
Mine are 13 and 9 and can now manage most of the tamer Rothie stuff, so easy for me !
You up for a few hrs tomorrow evening peabrain ? rosqo sorting detail, but likely 630 depart Bothy area for a few hrs.
I can't get out in the evenings - husband works offshore so no childcare ๐ In theory my oldest is 16 and can babysit, but Wednesday is his riding night - Bothy Bikes shop ride.
I should be able to make it out for a few hours tomorrow night, all being well!
I'm planning a quick ride on my way up too Elgin next week and one on the way back so any recomendations are appreciated . Probably max 2 - 3 hrs.
If anyone is up for a ride tomorrow night meet outside bothy bikes (this is not the bothy bikes Wednsday ride as they are meeting at feshiebridge this week). Bring lights and beer money as we will spin past the old bridge inn on the way back for a pint.
There are a few options for the ride and we can decide on the actual route when we meet but there will be some climbs and singletrack involved.
Half six?
Sorry... Meet at 6:30pm ๐ I forgot that part
We are off Cairngorm lodge - Potting shed / Inshairich - return tomorrow from mid morning with the kids.
Lights on loch morlich tomorrow night is us in the canoes ๐
See you tomorrow Ross ๐
2tyred, will be good to meet up
Matt - will keep an eye out for you !!
Superb night ride, cheers Ross for arranging and others for coming. The Glenmore singletrack was great, along with all the other local secret bits, must go back tomorrow in daylight ! Riding back from Old Bridge Inn to cottage after 3 pints was challenging indeed ๐
What glorious weather! One of our best trips to the area - pics to follow.
Amazing numbers of folks out on bikes.
I popped up to the YH with a box of tyres this morning but you'd just checked out ๐
We were out for a run and kept having to get out of the way of cyclists.
Oh man, sorry...
The lads were keen for a rattle round the Giant bmx track at Badaguish before we paddled down the river...
Not bad on Wednesday either.

From those we met, seems like half of Stirling were up there... Three bike club families and a couple of Dunblane friends....
Yes, its been a brilliant week here, still, clear, sunny. Some great rides with good people. Home tomorrow.....
Where's the wee pump track? We're heading up burnside next month and an overnighter, evening play on the pumps would be fun!

All the photos look great. I'm staying in Grantown on Spey in the next couple of weeks, any recommendations?
The Craig Bar.
Fantastic pies!!!
Fantastic pies it is then, any ales to go with them?
It'll be a handful from the Cairngorm Brewery. I'm a Trade Winds fan.
Thanks Scotroutes, I just need to sort out a few rides now. All fueled on pies and ale.If you see a overweight man full of pies it's your fault. I've got maps of Aviemore but just need to sort out stuff from the door step.
The Badaguish track costs a quid and sign a disclaimer. A good giggle, but not that well designed... And I know the chap who did lots of the graft to build it...
There is a hours fun to be had in grantown wood - almost in town is a bike park..
Loads of wee bits of trail in Anagach Woods - just follow your nose.
Don't s****!

The Dava Way is a pleasant bimble from behind the caravan park. It'll take you right to Forres if you've a mind (and there's a wee hut half-way along if you need shelter). There are tracks up and down the hill beside the caravan park too.
The Speyside Way to Nethy Bridge won't take you long (other than the interminable gates) and then there's lots of stuff in and around Abernethy Woods.
Thanks, I'll have a sniff round the ladies garden. Cheers 1 shed.
Why don't my posts show up from my phone?
What were you trying to post?
Was just snorting at the lady garden, and asking Matt when he was at Badaguish as we were there on Wednesday. We were also a bit disappointed with badaguish.
That worked from my phone
Anyone around and keen for a ride next week - I'm up all week from Sun-Sun staying at Coylumbridge, will have MTB and X bike with me.
