I rode an extended version of the Burma Road route yesterday riding anti-clockwise via the Wade military road and then down to Ballinluig.

I was completely on my own so took the descent careful like but found it challenging enough at the top. Saddle right down and a few committing boulder hops. The route I used down was to take the first track on the right after a long fireroad climb from the river. On the map I noticed a second track a bit further on. This track joins the first one after about 1.5 kilometres.

Which is the best way down?

Have a look at my post, towards end of page 1 and start of page 2, there's some info and pics on Burma!
