.... I "let slip" the location of some ace trails I found this weekend....

Seriously though, it's great what you can find while just exploring a new area. I really need a return visit to work out what the best loops are though as I suspect I was coming to some bits of track the wrong way round.

Mmm... I've got the choice of just passing through Aviemore on Saturday en route back down to Fort William, or staying there for a couple of days and riding everything I can find, choice choices! 😀

oooh where's that Rocketdog?

Not that I know the area very well so again GPX or MMO would be nice.

That track in RDs photos pre-dates (just) the LRA. I wonder if they'd now get away with putting in the various "bike-stoppers".....

Great descent though - and my photo was taken some way away from there.

Rode there but followed a couple of the marked trails as with a novice rider, I hope to get up there more regular next year if I can.

Druidh,

If you're handing out GPX or MMO files of that, I'd happily take some.

Ta!

OK - without giving too much away...

The wee trails I found were in Inshriach Forest. I approached them from Lagganlia (on the Glen Feshie Road) and a glance at the OS 1:25k map will give you some insight. As Martin points out, that shot of mine is taken above a wee cliff. It's more obvious in this one...

Around NH867064 I think

As for GPX/MMO files, I'm afraid not. I didn't have a GPS with me and I was really just doing some exploring, dodging up and down little singletrack trails as I found them, I got totally lost at one point.

The trail that RD posted is the "new" footpath that climbs from the Heron Field in Glenmore up to the Coire Cas car park. It's a fairly good path (better as a descent) but broken up with some obvious bike-spoilers.

We got all the new season Gore Bike Wear in today. I have my eyes on a few items.....
