Iv elixir cr's on one of my bikes, both levers are 'floppy' as in sit fully out and need a bit of reach to get to them.
I think the used to sit closer to the bar but are designed to snap back in a crash? Well they both are snapped back so iv a fair bit to pull in before they actually do anything.
Is there a fix for this? I see you can order a rebuild kit but at close to £50 for both levers it's a tad steep.
Any info on a cheaper fix?
They normally snap back into place,sounds like you've bust the ball joint. Spares are imported by Fishers Outdoor & Leisure, think it's part no.A15028E, but check for yourself to be certain.
Are you sure they don't need a bleed? Mine felt like that when they needed bleeding, roughly every other ride. Now residing in parts bin replaced by Shimano XT.
nope dont need a bleed, good bite, just the loose lever problem
think ill have a nosey for 2nd hand replacements...
