[Closed] Avid 185mm Disc Adapter - Anyone Know Where to Get One?

A mate has picked up a 185mm Avid disc for £5. Now we're having problems finding an adapter to fit his bike.

He's running:
Rockshox Recon with post mounts
Avid Juicy 3s

As far as I can tell the adapter is no longer made. Is this correct? Any idea where I might get one? Tried ebay but nothing obvious? Are there any third party adapters?

Several options I've seen work.

Use one of these

By playing around I've got them to fit most discs.

Use a 180mm and play with conical washers and space it out a bit.

Make your own as per the link at the top you can use bits of washer.

Or email me bayley.jon@gmail.com as I have one in front of me. £4 posted 🙂

I also have other bits as well

Also

Bag of adaptors, mostly IS/Post 160F/140R

Adaptors are all the same between brands. Try Hope or Superstar for a 185 adaptor.

Having said that, it does seem that post mount forks to IS calipers are tricky from any brand right now as most brakes have been post mount for a long time. However, my point was that you're not limited to Avid for the mount, anyone who had a 185mm rotor in their range might be able to help. The conical washers were factored as part of the caliper dimensions, not the adaptor dimensions.

Other option, a KCNC mount and some longer bolts and a couple of washers.

the downside being they cost twice as much as the disc did.. 🙄

look nice though.. 8)
