A type of suspension fork made by Marzocchi. Quite heavy so that you can hit, or 'own' people with them.

I miss them. I wish they'd put that open bath simple system into a 160mm bolt through chassis. Everyone tries to add too many whistles and bells to forks now. All you needed was rebound adjustment. You could tune compression with oil weight and spring curve with oil height. They were great.

Love the Rockwell, I saw the title of this thread and thought I'd put a pic of one up!
Yunki's pic is even better though.
.
Also, love my Jr Ts ๐Ÿ˜€

in times of yore so its told..........

someone off here caught a thief in his house

at the time he was servicing his forks

armed with only the lowers from his marzocchi bombers he managed to force the scrote into his spare room using said forks until the popos arrived

and so it was that owning someone with bombers became legend

bombers themselves are worthy of their own legend- back in the day suspension forks were noodly elastomer 'sprung' gritty pogo sticks
then marzocchi came along with their moto tech open bath oversized bomber z1 with 3? maybe 4 inches of buttery smooth goodness

I think the OP is asking for an 'owning' TBH.

4" was a Z1. Lesser forks would have been 3". I always fancied a set of Z2 X-Flys. Finally bought a bike with Marathon SLs on. They were excellent for about 3 years and then pi$$-poor support from Windwave saw them sold for spares. All I needed was one new part, but took so long I gave up. Got a set of used Jr Ts recently though and they are excellent.

I still use old z1 bam on my single speed. Still the smoothest fork on little bumps and so easy to
Fix. Shame the later stuff was rubbish.

God I feel old

I had sever sets. Z1 at 100 mm. Z2 were originally 65mm. Had the bam version in yellow and a set in lime green. It was the 2001 x-fly that ended the love affair with marzocchi. Could never find the correct pressure for those. Are they worth a look these days then?

Those gold bolt through bombers are ace....I remember when they came out, they were the coolest things ever!

I still love the older bombers. I've just bought some Z150's....heavy, but plush and bomb proof. Both pairs of original 66's and the 888's I had were awesome. Never broke, smooth and easy to service at home. The likes of UK Bike Store carry loads of parts etc.
