after my various rantings this week regarding bike shop's and their staff, for which i apologise, a ray of light has come to light my dreary life..........
at 8.15 this morning i snapped 4 spokes on my bike riding to work.
at 9.oo i phoned SPA CYCLES in harrogate, where i spoke to Alan, the owner.
i explained my predicament and asked if he could build me some 'tonproof' wheels, that would carry a bifter.
he said he had the stck, xt hubs, sputnik rims and sapim strong spokes.
i put the phone down expecting a phone call later in the week or early next week.
at 15.15 i got a call from SPA CYCLES, telling me that my wheel were ready for collection..............
AWESOME SERVICE......... 8) 8) 8)
big up SPA CYCLES HARROGATE................ ๐Ÿ˜€

Isn't SPA an old school roadie type shop? I think they are well known for good wheel building so they should last. Give the wheels to a proper wheel builder in a couple of weeks for a tweak and they should last forever.

The XT/Chrina rear on my Roadrat came from them and is coping admirably with the crappy roads in York that destroyed the original one.
