Are the assos rain gloves any good when its not raining? Would they be ok in the winter for general use...?
No idea but winters over for the start of this year.
They're just neoprene gloves like any other manufacturer, although probably the rolls royce of neoprene, so would expect them to be pretty warm but IME they still get somewhat damp when you start to get a sweat on as the material is supposed to just soak out rather than 'wick'. So inspite of a lack of rain, you can still end up with wrinkled clammy hands. Best just to get a quality pair of winter gloves (try Prendas for best quality:price ratio!) and then a moderately priced pair of neoprene gloves for when you KNOW you'll be riding in the rain for any length of time.
