Are the 62a eXc's too fragile for this? They aren't (or don't appear to be) tubeless specific tyres, I've run them last year with tubes but I've now got Stan's rims and wondered about running them tubeless, but just wondered how they perform before I go through all the faffage?

I've just gone tubeless on an exception series Ignitor and it seems fine after a week.
I also have some Aspens in a box which were run tubeless by the previous owner.
Dunno if that helps at all...

Mine has been working for several months with the exception series.

I ran a 2.25" Aspen tubeless quite successfully, but it was a totally different story when I tried a 2.1" eXc. They didn't hold air that well, and were very prone to damage and consequent leakage. IMO the sidewalls are just too thin on this tyre to make it a realistic tubeless alternative for regular use. Maybe fine for raceday, if you can deal with the fragility.

Cheers all, I'll give it a whirl and see what happens. Tubeless has been a bit crap for me, I may have just been unlucky, but I only ever seem to get big punctures with mine which spews latex everywhere. Very happy with tubeless when it's up and running but a proper kick in the knickers otherwise.
