obviously innocent until proven guilty - question is does he (if he actually committed the offence) think he has done anything wrong?

I suppose I might be a bit disgruntled at house arrest for the benefit of a lot of anonymous roadies - and it would be huge fun to watch :o)

"security measures" - I wonder how one would prevent it happening ?

Close the roads for an additional 24 hours beforehand so that the route can be swept properly... :op

and that stops me going for a walk with a bag of tacks ? Possibly the best solution would be a free helicopter taxi ?

How about a minibus with a police escort?

Why not read the other thread instead of having it all repeated over here?

Not even a whole day - 4 hours max I think it said...

I just hope they can pin this on him!

If he's found guilty, presumably that'd leave him open to small claims for the damage to tyres/tubes/wheels? Nice 🙂

yep, and i like the sound of him having several thousand claims for an average of about £20, rather than one big one. He'd have to employ a secretary to deal with them all.
I hope everyone demands the exact make of tube that they originally had as well, so he can't just order a job lot.

Surely the route for next year should now pass his house.

Then whilst the race is stopped whilst the road is double checked right outside his house (for safety reasons), all the cyclists can use the forced stop to relieve themselves in this blokes garden.

I'd sign up for this next year if I got the chance to pinch one off in this ****ts garden.
