I've moved a set of Deore M525 disc brakes from one broken bike to a good one but the rear hose is too long - top tube routing - so thought I'd shorten the hose at the lever end and hopefully knock out any air bubbles that may get in, trouble is the olive fitting looks as though it's been factory crimped on and I can't budge it, hoped it'd be as simple as slide the olive down, cut the hose, re-install the end fitting and done? Any tips or advice appreciated. Did wonder about cutting the hose around the olive to move it but if it's been crimped on I doubt it'll be re-usable??
Don't think I can do anything the caliper end as there is no bleed nipple, just an allenkey blanking plug?
