Trying to find a bike shop which is used to dealing with decent stuff.
I've got some Giant carbon wheels which will need a tyre swap. The existing tyres are double bastard tight. So I need a strong and competent mechanic who isn't gonna break my wheels, and are used to dealing with tubeless...🤢
I'm quite happy to book the work in, rather than take a chance someone on "having a go"

Not sure this fits your bill as "local" cos it's a bit of a trek up the motorway but Mapdec Cycle Works in Kendal are excellent - they do all sorts of custom build and repair work and are well used to dealing with quality bike parts.

You’ve got a leisure lakes at Southport and I’d recommend Jack Parker Cycles in Burscough, he’s been going years and whilst he has a shop and sells bikes, he’s mainly spannering and being a mechanic.
