They are a bit concave, but is there a measure to tell you when they need to be changed? Fairly keen not to have one go down some big hill somewhere, whilst wearing equivalent of a pAir of swimming trunks and a lump of polystyrene on me noggin'!

On ave due to brake wear. But how concave can they be before they are unsafe? Is there a way of measuring?
