The same as Pro 2/3/evo?

Can find stock online for Pro4 pawls but not springs. But plenty of stock for 2/3/evo spring and pawl sets.

And why would they not include springs with pawls for pro 4? Just replaced my bearings, found a broken spring, now stuck 😢

The exploded diagrams on the Hope website say the Pro 4 and Pro II Evo use springs part no HUB515 so they should work fine. Different pawl part numbers though.

I've seen zip ties used instead of pawl springs and some folk even claim they work better.

As above. Small zipties work as an excellent replacement for the springs.

If you do not want to go down the zip tie method for now (It works great btw) just remove the pawl with the broken spring and run it with 3 till the new springs arrive

Two springs are broken.

So tell me about these zip ties - how do you do that?

As above, i did this early on with my Pro 4 as 2 out of 4 of my springs had disintegrated in the winter slop. The zip ties are an upgrade IMO and i haven't bothered replacing them with the replacements i ordered.

Zipties were definitely better than the old shit springs that always broke. But they've changed the design a couple of times since so is that still the case?

(I broke 2 springs in the alps, put 2 zipties in them, sold the wheels about 6 years later, the buyer got in touch furious because they had zipties not springs- I'd totally forgotten ๐Ÿ™‚ )

Still the case Northwind, opened up my pro 4 after 6 weeks as it had gone quiet, bought brand new, 2 out of 4 springs were in pieces. Granted i had ridden in the filth for 6 weeks but i don't remember my Pro 2 springs going that soon, normally about 6 months! I'm sure Hope would've sent me more no questions asked but the zip ties are a more permanent fix!!!

Yeah, when I called them about it they sent me a bag of about 10 springs, which definitely showed confidence.
