As above really. Need some new pivot bearings for my nuke proof mega as it's eaten another set. Are enduro bearings worth the money or are there better options?
I got some "enduro" bearings 3 months ago,pivot bearings for my superlight,crumbled last week on me up Gisburn,don't know what the "enduro" stands for???
I've been using them for years for a lot of different things from hubs to frames to random projects without problems but there has been whispers and rumours that China has been churning out fakes and sub quality seconds on ebay and other sites.
The BB ones are shit- sub-deore quality. Haven't tried anything else myself but I put a set in the pivots of my mate's rocky mountain and they seemed to do OK
I usually buy from Katec, it feels like repaying Kaesae for services rendered via mental STW threads. But also, they're good, and well priced.
I fit loads of 'em at work. They seem decent to me, certainly a step up on OEM stuff for sure. But I don't fit them in my own bikes. I use only SKF or Katec bearings, whichever is more convenient. Both are generally cheaper and, I think, longer lasting.
I use there max bearings in my enduro pivots and they have been fine. Normal ones don't seem to like being in pivots
Also put some enduro zero ones in my road bike bb and again no problems so far

Max ones in pivots have been good for me. I've tried some of their higher tollerance ones in a hub and they did seem to spin smoother. Got a couple of years out of the bottom bracket bearings as well. As above though, make sure you get the real thing.
Used them before and they were ok- no better or worse than other decent bearings. Also had Enduro BB bearings and they were terrible- lasted less than 4 weeks and almost took a XT HT2 axle with them
Katec simply buys good quality bearings and crams full of good quality grease-ideal for pivot bearings
I bought some last month to overhaul a rear hub. Two hub bearings and two freehub bearings.
So far so good with the hub bearings but one of the freehub bearings "disintegrated" after 15 or so miles. By disintegrated I mean completely fell apart, tiny ball bearings everywhere. I installed them with a proper bearing press and the correct size drift. Could have been a rogue bearing but at £11 each I was slightly cheesed off.
Pivot bearings in most bikes need maxx, or otherwise known as full compliment, beatings. Hubs do not, and indeed using maxx in hubs will cause premature failure.
Good quality maxx bearings will last ages in an NP Mega, mine were over 2 years old before I changed them and I only changed them 'cos I thought I should before another season of mud and Alps.
I've found Enduro bearings to be excellent. Have had mixed results with katec's bearings, last ones I got the seals were clearly misshapen from being removed to fill with grease and refitted, doubt the seals were lining up.

He sells Enduro bearings also, but given the way they come in a sealed wrapper in the box, exactly the same as you get from anyone else selling them, I don't think he does his special "love" with them.
I buy them for some things when the price is not much different from standard good bearings. Generally they're just branded double lip sealed bearings though. Likewise with Hope.
Mostly I just get my bearings from simplybearings.co.uk
Cheap or fancy, if they're the same spec they all seem to last about the same amount of time.
