Ard Rock demo loop, ride on your own bike?

Hi, rode the intro last year and doing it again this year and really looking forward to it.

Don't qualify for the practice sessions, but wanted to get some riding in before Sunday. And some of the folk coming have never been before.

Is it possible to ride your own bike on the demo loop that is available for use when you book a demo bike from a manufacturer? Or do we need to book some demo rides? If so any advice on how?

Cheers

If it's the same loop they used to use it's all bridleway and permissive paths - so yes

If not then I'm sure I've got something saved somewhere with the original on - a good loop that goes on the opposite side of the valley to Ard Rock

They also often have one (last year two) demo stages you can ride on any bike, one off the road climb and another off Fremington Edge which I think was a race stage a few years ago.

It was three descents you could do in the practice loop last year. I think I read there'll be two this year. You can do it at your own leisure in your own bike!

I'm an idiot, it was two descents, I did one twice! 🤣 Guess it might be the same set up this year.

Yeah its the old stage 6 and a descent on the other side of the road climb too. I race sat so plan to take an ebike for a demo on the sun and do the loop.

Last year's strava reckons it's about 11km and 400m of height.

one of the demo's is the old final stage pre 2022, before the new stage 7 , which goes through the woods and has the branded ardrock sender gate at the bottom,

the old stage (now demo) is quite bombed out in places, those bunnies have been digging hole after hole. so its bumpy, in a bad way :0(
