Anyone know how the Arch EX rims fare (in the real world as opposed to on paper) compared to Mavic 321, xm819, 317/319 etc, in terms of strength? Looking for some light but strong wheels for AM duties on very rocky trails, running 2.35 tyres on a full-sus. Flows are everywhere but they're not massively light, and there's far less info/opinion available on Arch EX. Arch EX are very light, but will they last? And yes, I know it depends on the build/rider/tyre etc etc. Experiences please. Thanks for any help.
I've been using Arch ex rims for a while now and have had no problems with them on rocky trails. Did the last gravity enduro on them as well. I had flows and I can tell the difference in the weight when I'm riding...unless it's psychological!!
My wife has a set built onto some DT 240s's. They are nice, although I would in hindsight have built them up with something bigger than a DT Swiss Rev, as it makes them a bit flexy. Built with a mix of Supercomp & Comps would have been better.
As for the rims, no complaints.
