[Closed] Anything better than a Joystick?

After realising my 11yr old headmounted Joystick now looks like a knife at a gun fight I was wondering if there was anything to look at other than the latest offering from exposure?

I’m planning on getting an Exposure Axis in the next few weeks - got a little bit more power than the joystick without being any bigger / heavier really. After that it’s a jump to a bigger heavier head torch like the Diablo / Zenith.

Fourth Scorch tends to get mentioned as an alternative to the joystick / Diablo etc but I don’t know much about it.

MK7 Axis on CRC is a very good bet at the moment.

I have a Zenith which has replaced a very old Joystick which I ended up losing somewhere.

With a new Maxx D it's great 🙂

Four4th Scorch. Brighter, simpler - high or low. You can also swap batteries mid ride so if you are going for an epic, you can pack some more batteries and run through the night.

2nd for the four4th scorch. I got mine a couple of weeks ago and it’s a superb bit of kit.

The 2000 lumens promised appear genuine as it outshines my Troute Lumen Liberator.

It’s reasonably light, is made of aluminium and has a pretty nifty “touch the lens to operate” feature.

Though not as glamorous as the Exposure it is twice as bright as the joystick for £30 less and has interchangeable batteries

The light is very good with a reassuring spot and spread pattern

It takes a bit to impress me, this definitely does

I have a Four4th Scorch and a Gemini Xera 'flashlight'.

Whilst the Scorch is brighter, the Gemini is very good, uses standard 18650 batteries (carry a few spares if you are going out for a longer ride..easy to change) and can currently be purchased for £50 if you shop properly. Oh, and it fits perfectly into an Exposure helmet mount.

One left, better buy it quick OP!

I'd snaffle it up if I didn't already have a Diablo (which is very good BTW).

Diablo is good, becoming less of a fan of the tap feature to toggle settings, but a very bright light with good battery life so far.
