Certainly looks good.

We used a trailgator for some time, cost about £40 online. Once you get the bolts tight enough so that it doesn't slip it's great. Couldn't justify the cost of the follow-me

I think they were positively reviewed by the CTC magazine a while back - maybe ask on their forum. To my mind, its advantages are a) the axle is in the right place (i.e. not at the seatpost) and b) it can be folded up and left on the adult bike

I got the first one Cyclesense (who now import them) sold. The design has been subtly improved since then, but nothing fundemental.

Work better than the Trailgator, but not the lightest.

We also lost the towed bike going through the bomb holes at Dalby one time - our son was on a LOCT with me at the time.

Overall they're great for towing 14-16" wheeled bikes, but by the time they're onto 20" they're getting a little heavy unless it's flat. Better for quiet roads and cycle paths than trail centres or busy roads.

Since we got ours three couples we know who've seen ours have bought their own, including some who already had a Trailgator.

Expensive but good. Tow an Islabike to complete the look.

Edit: doesn't fit all swap dropouts or cowled dropouts. (C456 and Singular Pegasus / Gryphon)

I looked into these - appear to be the 'gold standard'.

MiniDrP is happy enough on his 'silver standard' trailgator...!

I cant help being attracted to shiny bits of metal. Hopefully the resale value will help dampen the cost.

We've a Trail Angel (resold by Raleigh here) that works pretty well. It's a bit like a trailgator but appears to have a better hitch, and is certainly less metal than the Follow Me. It also folds up if the little one wants to ride on his own.

Marcus - where are you? Test rides may be possible (once I get some bits back from my brother)

Also some friends might just be selling one.
