I've fired Tim at Sideways an email but wondered if anyone here had used Phil Wood grease generally or specifically in cheap bearings to pop in external bbs?
Also has replaced their shimano external bb with phil wood bearings? Not sure if they still do it now they have their own bb.

I've used Phil Wood BB's with varying results, some last 18 months and some lasted 8 weeks! Now use Chris King BB with Rock and Roll grease for over 12 months with no issues.

The grease is ace for bearings.
