Long time no post...
I find myself in need (need I say!) of a Large Marge Lite rim, which seem to be impossible to get in the UK. Jenson USA have them listed s available in January, and will ship to the UK.
So... Anyone used them? £16 shipping seems good. Will I be stung for mahoosive import duty? - which would actually be OK since their prices are way lower than UK retail, e.g. Large Marge rim strip for £4 from Jenson, £15 from the excellent Mr Charlie T. Bikemonger.
Before anyone points out the obvious, I do want to support UK retailers, but these rims just aren't available here (as far as I can tell).

yes they deliver, and it's pretty quick
yes, you'll pay duty (IME) - VAT plus another 4%
yes, the carrier (UPS I think) will also charge you a tenner or more for collecting the duty

Yep, as above, I was after a full face helmet that wasn't available in the scheme I wanted in the uk before a trip to the Alps.
Worked about £15 cheaper after all the extra costs compared to a £340 uk price.
