Hi, has anyone use BikeINN online store based in Spain?

Looking to buy a 7Mesh Spruce Hoody but on Trustpilot it’s got a rating of 4.1 with a few 1 star ratings. They’re part of tradeINN group

I've used them three times in the last two years, no problems

Yes. Used them a few times. Delivery can be a bit slow but it's all legit.

Prices include any vat or duties, so nothing extra to pay on delivery.

Yes, they are fine. Delivery isn't quickest and sometimes takes a bit of deciphering to work out exactly what model a particular product is but price is good and they do deliver. Price shown is also the price you pay (reason for slower delivery seems to be that they import goods in bulk to the UK then send to you from their UK centre).

Used them for the first time in December, just for a few odds and ends, took an age to arrive but competitive prices.

I just wouldn't order anything you're desperate for tomorrow...

Used them loads of time, never had an issue. One of the only EU stores left that you don't have to worry about extra charges.

Yes, first order took a month, dispatch dates are fiction but otherwise good.

Yes, works very well but delivery can take a while.

The price you see if the price you pay as they have a UK warehouse so ship stock to the warehouse and then send it out (as far as I can tell).

You don't pay the import charges as it hasn't been shipped to you outside the UK (as far as I can tell from my very vague dig into this).

Yep, bought an Edge 1040 from them late last year as it was ~20% cheaper than any UK shops which made me question whether I would be stung for VAT.

Can't remember how long it took to arrive but it was here in time for the weekend.

Just make sure you are sure what you want will fit and is exactly what you're after - returns are very expensive.

My first order is hopefully arriving from them today, it was initially estimated to be 6/2 but i think one of the items was on order??

I expected delivery to be a while, i believe it is a bike shop in Spain.

As above really. They are cheaper and delivery to UK can be slow 10 - 15 working days.

The only issue I had with them was with a delivery that didn't turn up (they had put the wrong address on) and they absolutely refused to refund. Firstly all I got was standard "AI generated ?" responses and when I got a reply from a "human" they said I was too late to make a claim as their terms and conditions state that claims must be made within 21 days. I gave up and put it down to experience but about 3 weeks later the item was delivered?

Personally based on my above experience I wouldn't use them again. Good service rates higher than cheap costs!

Twice, 1st was fine, 2nd the items never shipped even after about 2 months. I think they advertise things they can not actually get

Used them loads never had any issues, just don't expect next day delivery. I'm currently waiting on a bike order and it's been 3 weeks so far since it shipped but was fully aware of the timescales before I placed the order.

Have used them a couple of times without any problems.  Last time was November or December.

The problem is if you ever need to return anything. It has to be posted back to Spain and therefore costs a fortune. I bought some trainers that ended up not fitting. They cost £55 but were £35 to return. If its something that you wouldn't return like a mech then I don't see a problem.

I've used BikeInn (and other TrandInn subsets) many times. As others have said the shipping times are poor, but if it's for something you don't need fast then the prices are good and they are reliable.

i once got sent an incorrect item - I got the budget version rather than the premium type I'd paid for. I contacted them and sent them pics, and they sent out the correct version and told me to give the other item to a bike charity, which I did.

I like the whole 'inn brand - very good when you are after something not particularly popular in the UK. Snowinn for XC ski kit for example.

I'm not convinced they actually have anything in actual stock....I've yet to have an order (and I've used them at least a dozen times for 50+ items) where everything in the basket did not spend 5-6 days as a minimum with the status "on the way from our suppliers" before it actually was processed and dispatched.

But it always arrives in the end, or it has for me - I normally factor in 3-4 weeks from order to delivery.

I ordered some pirelli tyres a couple of weeks ago. The size was unavailable in the UK from the usual places. Took about a week to arrive. Would use again.

Well the status has changed to “In transit to our dispatch centre” whatever that means

I use them for all sorts, like a slower but cheaper & less ethically heinous Amazon. Last thing I bought from them was a set of tefal pans. Their huge warehouse in Girona suggests they have one or two items in stock.

Means they are sending it from Spain to their UK distribution centre.

I don't think it does.  I've ordered loads of stuff from them - I think that means they've ordered it from their supplier. Here's the full delivery tracking from my last order place on 4 January. It was 'on way to delivery centre' until the 12th (the tracking from BikeInn).  Then 'Spring GDS' do the international bit, then it sits in the UK having supposedly cleared customs for some days before Royal Mail get around to picking it up and actually delivering it (all the tracking from the Spring GDS site)

Sounds like it could turn up any time then, hopefully before next autumn. But it would be handy now/soon though

Also if they’re getting it from their suppliers, 7Mesh don’t have it instock on their own website so could be OOS. What are they like for cancelling orders if I’m waiting more than a couple of weeks for dispatch?

I use them a fair bit, Girona is only 6h away so delivery time isn't an issue - but more than once I have ordered something that hasn't been despatched after a week or whatever. Solution: Cancel item, re-order, here next day. No idea why it has to be like that.

Well the size I’ve ordered is now out of stock, hopefully mine has actually been sent to their dispatch centre.

I'd not used them for ages but had a tyre I wanted at half the price of anywhere else. Wasn't in a hurry. Ordered Tuesday night, now been dispatched and due for delivery next Tuesday. So a good experience so far.

I ordered my top on Monday, did it have the same process of being “In transit to our dispatch centre” or was it dispatched straight away?

It had that status for two days and then went to 'prepared for shipment' and 'dispatched' a day later.

Cheers, mines been the same since Monday and not long after I made the order which makes it a little suspect to me.

Well it’s been dispatched and has just arrived at Crossdock Hague, NL. Strange it’s gone to Holland instead of straight to the UK from Girona

That is strange. Mine arrived as expected. All good. Would defo use again if I wasn't in a hurry- but 8 days including a weekend between ordering and delivery. Fine with that.

I also ordered a 7mesh hoody as they were not around many other places  - ordered at end of Dec and tracked it for a few weeks in Jan where it then stalled in Harlow I think  -never delivered. Raised a complaint and it felt like they were using all ways to delay the complaint - eventually sent a specific form to complain to the courier. Eventually mid feb still not here and they were still not agreeing to refund or resend I raised a complaint with paypal to get a refund. bikeinn suddenly then accepted the complaint and refunded. Lack of customer service means I would not use again and presently looking where else to get the 7mesh hoody or similar

The tracking info that @b33k34 posted earlier went the same route. With the delay being once it got to the UK.

Clearly no one remembers the days of looking up parts on tiny print listings in magazine adverts, phoning the shop to speak to an actual person, ordering by part number and paying over the phone, then waiting an undetermined time for royal mail to pop it through the letterbox, to having to go and pick it up from the sorting office around their weird opening time, queuing for at least 30 minutes, and possibly not getting it if they close whke you were still in the queue?

8 days from halfway across Europe at the clock of a button is pretty amazing really. Even if its slower due to Brexit.

And bike inn were the only place I could get time atac pedals with reflectors. Odd given it's solely  a UK requirement!

Ps: you can still order like that if you wish, just pick up a copy of "cycle" magazine and looke for the spa/sjs/,Corrine Denis adverts!

just arrived at Crossdock Hague, NL. Strange it’s gone to Holland instead of straight to the UK from Girona

I've had about half a dozen orders from them in the last six months.

They all go via the Hague.

I've even had an order that arrived in the UK then went back to the Hague according to the tracking.

I can only presume the customs forms were wrong so it got sent back, corrected and re sent.

I can remember my first order from CRC all those years ago.

Phoned them and made the order from an advert in a mag one morning.

The order arrived at my work address the next day.

I was mind blown.

Oxbow riding trousers for anyone that's that bored they need to know what the order was. 🤣

Well it’s a gift that keeps on giving (or not arriving), hasn’t moved or changed status from the initial arrival at Hague on Friday afternoon. 😥

Hopefully they don’t work weekends

Think of it as buying yourself a gift that will arrive at some unspecified time in the future, and you'll probably have forgotten what it was by the time it gets to you.

I don't think I even got tracking with my last order, but I did get a reasonably priced cassette that I didn't need urgently.

I've used BikeInn a few times. Currently got an order on the way (some of my favourite shorts at a great price).

Order placed 19th Feb.

Order processed/collected on 27th Feb from Girona.

Arrived in The Hague 2nd March.

Left The Hague 3rd March.

Due for delivery in UK Wed 5th March.

Well it’s got past Hague and now departed Hounslow. Hopefully to Royal Mail tomorrow.

Got really excited when I got the dispatch email as it said to be delivered on 1st March.

At the moment it’s still chilly, so hopefully it turns up by the weekend.

The worry is always ‘Will it turn up’ when it’s travelling across multiple countries.
