It would appear to be a P7 led torch same as many others. More expensive than some.

I saw it was a P7, but wondering about battery life, how good the bracket is etc....

I have a very similar torch to that one, with the same charger, mount+batteries. Get them off dealextreme. I only have 1 on the bars and its an excellent torch, very bright and lasts at least a couple of hrs on full.

£54 sounds like a good deal for 2.

I have 2 of this type, bought from DealExtreme for around £40 each, great bits of kit .
BUT for that price, unless you want a 'torch' you can use off the bike, I'd still recommend the magicshine unit from DX, just as good if not better in a bike friendly format.

The P7 torches, IME are better when they have 5 modes, the low beam on the 2 modes are very (too) low. As for the mounts, I've not tried that particular type, but another similar unit just broke apart when I tried to fit it! I use the two-fish lock-block instead, but they do vibrate on the handle-bars, though on the helmet there fine (some pol find them a heavy unit on their head, another plus for the magicshine). Output wise, I couldn't say there any worse than a MS unit, I think the centre is brighter & more focused but the youcould say the MS unit gives a wider overall beam.

Edit: Magicshine link there is a UK plug version, but you don't get the helmet kit with it, so splash out an extra £1 on a shaver adapter.

Ok, the P7's batteries (mine are protected 2600's from memory) last about 1.5 hrs, though mine seem to have got better with age, lasting around 2now.. Sealing is basic o-rings, which have done the job on mine for 2years with any water ingress. The main fault you get is the switch vibrating loose, but a quick nip up sorts that.
I do recommend them thoroughly, but not ad much as the MS units as a proper bike light

Am i mistaken or is that not the gear from dealextreme with a little crap looking rubber sticker that,s on the flat bit on a bog standard p7 torch.
edit
just spotted this in the listing which i had to laugh at
(New tough polyurethane torch decals)...go to deal extreme 1/2 the price

WOT He SAID ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

tough polyurethane decals. joker.

Its a MTE SSC p7 2 mode $27 dollar torch , cheaper if bought in numbers , even from DX.

I have a 5 mode and they are very good for the cash. One on the bars and one on the lid will suffice for all but 24 hr solos

I used it last night for a man v bike race, my first time riding in the dark and it was stupidly bright, more than enough for me 🙂
