without a screen protector and silicone casing or no protection at all? if so hows it holding upto general off road riding? any signs of it being damaged etc?
the reason i ask is i have a clear protector on the screen and its really doesnt help me when its sunny etc, everything looks poop on the screen so thinking of ditching it and letting it go naked
I've been using one for about 8 months now. No screen protection (for the same reason you are thinking of ditching it) and it has a few light scratches but they in no way affect it in use. I reckon it will be fine for a good few years before the scratches ever become an issue. Direct bright sunlight can still be a bit of a pain when looking at the map screen mind. I use the silicone casing though (standard Garmin one)to give a bit of protection in the event of a crash etc.
Ive been running mine for a year - 4-5 times a week.
Screen is pretty nakered but with the backlight on, I can still see what I need too.
had mine for about 3 months, had a couple of otb, the screen is fine scratch at the is about it.
Had one for about 6 months. I'm afraid I run mine with both screen protector and silicon casing - what a wimp!
Can't say I noticed much difference in screen clarity with the protector fitted. In fact I now run it with the backlight on level 1 and just use reflected light to view, which seems fine.
