I'm specifically referring to the model that has been available since 2018. I'm considering getting the C:68 variant with a Fox Factory suspension and an XTR drivetrain.
I'd be really interested to hear some feedback on the bike. Does it climb well? Any problem areas to be aware of?
Watching as it seems great value. I have the 650b 160 Stereo from 2013
I have a 2015 e stereo 120 29er.
No issues. It definitely climbs well 😂😂
I’ve got the 2019 team c68 and I love it , climbs well and feels more like a trail bike than an enduro bike but will take all the big drops and hits.fantastic spec and only £2800 on line . Be careful with sizing tho , I’m 5”11 and got the large and the seat post is all the way in the frame and just fits
I was close to buying a stereo 140 or 150, the HPC version with the fox factory kit.
They're amazing value, the geometry is quite conservative (ultimately the reason why I went with another bike), but it's basically the same bike that has been ridden by Greg Callaghan in EWS for the past couple of years...

I'm the same height as you and I'm also considering a large - what length dropper post are you using?
Hi
I got myself a 2019 Cube Stereo C62 SL recently and can confirm it’s a light, fast and capable bike. It’s supposed to fall into the Enduro category but I’d say it leans more to aggressive trail. It’ll handle Enduro (ardrock etc) no problem given the 160/150 travel however as stated the geo is not as aggressive as some in this category. That is the reason I went for it as I need x1 MTB that can pedal well but also handle some downhill/BPW etc.
I went for a medium which fits me fine (5ft 8) however have had to play around with the rear shock as was using all the travel too easy despite adding more compression (c200 psi for weight of c11.5 stone). Added x3 tokens and much less harsh at the very bottom of the travel- it handles heavy hits / large drop offs etc easily!
Also comes with decent light/fast Newman wheelset which are stated as tubeless ready but I had to remove the stock rim tape as it was crap and replace to convert to tubeless
Overall I would highly recommend the Stereo but for me the SL version as don’t want or need x2 chainrings. The spec is very high and overall a light bike that will shred down anything you fancy riding.
Cheers
If you fit medium or large and don't want super long Stereo's are pretty good. Light and fast bikes IME. If you need Xl/XXl and want a long "wheels on the ground" ploughing machine look elsewhere.
They need a progressive shock setup (small positive large negative chamber), however you achieve it, to get the most out of the suspension design!
My completely non-catalogue spec alu 140 (low standover and BB for the time), surges forward and accelerates like no other bike I've ridden. It's well balanced on jumps, addictive and fun to ride. It does get me into trouble every now and again when I come steaming into things way too fast and gives a little ground on the roughest rock gardens compared to longer wheelbase bikes.
