Whilst riding there today 4 'cherubs' of approx 13years old came past us at the end of the freeride area, nothing odd about that except what they were riding.
Call me suspicious but these were the rides
Silver small framed orange five/patriot, new shape approx 16" frame
Carrera something, black frame, pair of long marzocchi forks
a battered old full sus
something else battered and squeeky
All kitted out in the latest tracksuits minus helmets gloves etc etc
Reported to trail centre on arrival back, should've got after them at the time but had to check with my mate i'd seen what i'd seen and by that time they were off.
Hope i'm totaly wrong about this, but if it does sound like something you're missing i'd suggest that it appeared they were local to the area, and will probably be back there soon enough.
Wouldn't surprise me if it was somebody else's pride and joy, working in a bike shop not too far away brings news of the amount of bikes that have gone walkies following a ride at Cwmcarn. You've all been warned, you may be followed so make sure your bike is very well secured. They've been known to cut through metal doors, come in through the roof, and even enter the house and take the bike whilst the owner is in the next room(they'd already broken into his garage but left those bikes there).
the final thing for me was when the last one past us skidded to a stop on his bike and looked at our little collection and said 'nice bikes' before clattering off to his mates giggling.
How far have folks been followed, any idea?
The Police have caught a chap in Bristol who confessed to actually following folk home from Afan and Cwmcarn... so it's deffo happening.
Mine are always transported inside the car thankfully!

And this is why the toll on the M4 is on the wrong side of the motorway ๐
Wrong Bigsi...nobody from Wales would pay to ride in England! ๐
