I'm going up to the 3 peaks CX and i'd really like to be able to get around quickly on the roads between good points so i can take photos etc. Massive thanks to anyone who can help out. Cake may well be on offer btw ๐Ÿ™‚

You can do it on a road bike, we rode several bridleways round there on road bikes last year, worked fine, though you need to be slightly careful... I'd loan you my RoadRat, but I'm selling it to a mate in flat-barred form, so won't have it by then. That wasn't really much help was it ๐Ÿ˜‰

You realise he'll just just sell it to feed his cake habit? I loaned him him a Voodoo Wanga a while back when he span me some yarn about needing it for the Alaskan Singlespeed Freeride Champs - I found it six weeks later in Cash Converters, Whaley Bridge, which somewhat suspiciously located next door to Caroline's High Peak Cup Cake Emporium... Coincidence? I'll leave you to work that one out.

You're a very funny man BWD. Probably going to be too small Martyn, but could i try it anyway? And a road bike would work too, i can always walk the bumpy bits. Size 56 probably.

Just use your mountain bike with some Semi Slicks or thin tyres.
