Need to be mechanically sound, tidy, low mileage. Not averse to any van!
Anyone help or have suggestions of what to look at / Where etc?

Ex-welfare vans suit the bill presuming when you say crew can you mean two rows of seats in a van and not with a separate bed behind.

Worth noting that welfare vans are often low milage

But have spent alot of their life idling to run the welfare side.

Less than ideal.... The engines often done alot more work (and more damaging than actually being under load,) than the milage would tell.

I bought an ex network rail Transit welfare van. As mentioned above it has clearly spent considerable time idling - I know this because the crank pulley sheared off leaving me stranded 100mile from home. The sheared pulley wasn't the original one either according to the moulding dates on it.
They are good value with some useful kit in them just make sure you change the crank pulley if you buy one.
They also tend to be Transits which are okay as a van but engineering/fixing it wise are poor.
