Battling to find some 29+ wheels from the usual places, most of them are unfortunately boost spacing. Anyone seen any that don't cost the earth or weigh a ton? The nearest I've found are some Spank Oozy for £285 and over 2kg and end caps from Bikester.

Doesn't the chain rub on the tyre with non boost plus wheels?

No, Singular Rooster, 1 x 10, no issues with 3" Chronicles on 30mm internal rims. Looking at moving them to another bike so looking for a replacement. I reckon up to 35mm should be fine.

Halo Vapour 35 or Vapour 50's? Both available in none boost and boost. Using boost 50s on my Jones.

Otherwise build or get some built from bits.

After few sillies I'm detesting factory or ready built wheels.

Bargain-hunting rims and hubs I want and leaving build for Mick from Tony Butterworth Cycles
Bloody excellent wheel builder, service with a smile and very good after sale care.

Cheers!
I.

I built my own in the end, I used some Halo hubs I had & went for WTB KOM Tough i40 rims.

Doesn’t the chain rub on the tyre with non boost plus wheels?

Not on my Surly Krampus it doesn't. 135mm rear, 3" tyre, 10 speed, and I've even managed to get a double chainset working in all gears, all be it with my own version of a Surly OD crankset (old square taper RF Turbine with middle on outer & granny in middle), 113mm BB axle.

Dually Velocity rims on xt and Hope hubs here. Bought 2nd hand though, but 29+ turn up occasionally on the classifieds.

Pretty hard to find though. It took me a few weeks of searching and eventually a wanted ad.

+1 for building your own. I've Hope qr hubs, Dually rims and 3" Minions on my mk1 Longitude, runs perfectly with no rubbing. I can't understand why they went to 650b tbh.
Learn to build your own and you can have any combination you like 😎

I might give that a go, done a few rim swaps but left the final tensioning up to the lbs. Been looking at WTB ASYMs as I have them in 650 flavour and I'm pretty happy with them. Halo Vapour's look good, £370 at Triton.

Other option is https://thecycleclinic.co.uk/collections/mtb-wheels/products/borg35-disc-650b-27-5-or-700c-29er-mtb-tubeless-compatible-wheelset, he's local and built a few wheelsets for me.

Build your own going to be the best option and probably the cheapest way of getting something lighter. Did that for wheels for my longitude as it's boost front 135mm rear. Actually built them as 100mm front and added a MRP boost kit for maximum flexibility (they will work as a backup set for my full sus that way).
