reviews please and pics of set ups if you would be so kind!
cheers!
I met someone who had a set on his bike. Wouldn't stop going on about the bloody things ๐
Not sure whether that's a recommendation or not ๐
Has anyone admitted to not liking them?
FWIW I liked Marys but think normal bars maybe give you a bit more control (skills tutor said so anyhow!)
I hated Marys. Well, I'll qualify that by saying that they were quite comfy for just riding along and for climbing but they felt horrible to me when doing anything fast/technical and particularly anything twisty.
on a rigid ss they seem to make much sense, particularly on fast, open stuff or muddy, slippy, drifty trails. not sure why but they let me catch slides and wet corners better than normal bars. they don't make techy stuff any easier, maybe harder as i'm not fully used to them or have them on a non-tech biased bike with a low-ish front end, but all in all, like most things Jeff does, i like.
if i went world touring or was doing loaded epics they would be the bar for me. they're great on my winter SS. if i rode fun, techy, jumpy/drop-off stuff all the time i'm sure i'd stick to a wide riser.
