I have the outgoing version, quite like the look of this without the odd looking ear cut outs. £269 though 😬 and quite fancying a Proframe RS too which can be found for £170 now

I'd like to own one of these just so I can make up my mind about what the point of it is, which rides would one take it on over a standard helmet, convertible, or fixed full face.
I'm sure it has its uses as people keep buying them and they keep making/updating it. But I can't help wonder, if I'm concerned about a crash that might break my jaw and lower rear head, I'm also concerned about my face.

My worst crash - (broken jaw, concussion) I'm 99% certain this would have saved a fair bit of damage.
Front wheel slipped at 25mph and I went down sideways, with the side of my head hitting a rock. Was wearing a Fox Flux at the time. The next crash after that at BPW, wearing a Bell Super 2R (with chin guard), the back and side took the impact.
Most crashes I think, tend to be the side, I can't ever remember face planting (not that it'll never happen)
I'll tend to wear my current Dropframe when I'm going somewhere a bit techy and I know I'll be pushing myself a bit. Somewhere more extreme and I'll wear the Bell Super DH. For a more sedate XC type ride, I might wear the Speedframe.
Obviously no guarantees that I'll be wearing the right helmet at the right time, but like everything, it's a risk assessment
I'll probably be trying one of these when I replace my Giro Switchblade which I never use the chinbar with.
Not that much of a fan of FF helmets but like the extra coverage of a full helmet.
I raced MX BITD with an openface helmet as did everyone else.
The chances of smashing my face up back then were far greater.
I'll be waiting a while for the price to drop though.
Might as well just get a lightweight full face, I don't see the point of getting the extra coverage but missing the face saver bit, it's almost tempting fate to take your teeth 😁

Found them at Dirtbikeexpress for £199

I have one (convertible)
I don't always want to wear it - see above post
I have the older one, gets saved for the days I'll be mostly riding trails rather than getting any miles in, it's a sweatbox and not that comfy when going up and down, great for wearing when your focus is going down hill though
not that comfy when going up and down,
Don't find it uncomfy, but different heads etc
Mostly used on the ebike though

I have both dropframe and programed non ear covers lid. My mate had an off riding with me and hit side of head and ear hard.... bought a dropframe next day
I wonder whether they have sorted the sizing. The old ones sized up way smaller than any other helmet (fox or other) I have tried.
The not a full face does appear a strange compromise. Then I remember the pictures of someone I used to occasionally ride with who had a freaky crash involving a fence post and the near removal of his ear. Yuck.

I believe so
I sized up in the old one, apparently the new one is in line with regular sizing
The next trend?

The next trend?
I'm waiting for a flip front
Personally I don't find having extra protection on the side and back of your head a negative.
I find tackling gnarly terrain with a flimsy XC lid perched atop your head a little more odd these days
