Hi
Looking at the above bike, seems like a good compromise of weight, travel and handling?
I've got a 06 heckler at the moment and wouldn't expect the Lapierre to be quite as good a descender but it surely must be close?
What I don't like about the heckler is the weight and the climbing ability, love it on the downs and am interested to see what owners of the Lapierre think about its downhill (nothing hardcore) ability.

A chap in the group I've ridden with a couple of times has one.
Its certainly a very capable descender but also climbs really well. Its certainly alongside my Pike equipped Enduro on the descents. Looking at it side by side with the couple of Orange 5's its noticasbly less "active" when climbing.
