Received these as a gift and will be fitting to my road bike this weekend - any tips on how best to fit?

not fitted to a road bike, but i use them on my 29er, i like them, they look smart can be tricky if cable routing isn't very good,had to cut down the part that goes in the frame as couldn't get the flexibility required
