A few of us are heading up to the Lakes on Saturday but the guy that has planned the route out is in hospital due to an accident at the mo - d'oh - so won't be able to come.
Does anyone fancy showing us around? We're camping in Keswick but are able to drive if it's not too far. Will repay in tea and cake and/or beer.
Keswick mountain bikes have the "classics" already printed on handy A4 sized maps, just nip in part with a fiver and you are sorted.
Borrowdale Bash is the local classic followed by a Skiddaw tour, various versions from 1/2day to full day 😆

come down to staveley and do the sam houghton challenge. 48k route around longsledle, kentmere, and troutbeck. think you can enter on the day. not much to enter, and all for charity. food in wilfs afterwards and party at beer hall in the evening. tidy!

I'm going for a 5-6hr tour of Coniston on Sunday if anyone interested:
Ambleside > Grizedale > Blawith Common > Walna Scar > Tilberthwaite > Ambleside.

Just checked out the route pretty hardcore and I,m pulling a tagalong so will probably just cheer on the competitors.Thanks for the offer boxelder.

hey rich, the first riders dont set off till half eleven, so you could have a bit of a wait at sadgil.
