I know I should be happy to sell my switch and buy me a meta 5.5, but no, don't ask me why I just can't think of getting ride of it.
I know it's sad, but I just can't
ARGGGGGGGGGGGG

It's just a bike. A collection of mechanical parts aimed at providing a function. If it's not doing what you want it to do, there's no point in having it.

If it's doing what you want it to do, why sell it?

sell all the components, and keep the frame

recoup some money, but keep some memories and some "art" for your wall

ive kept all of my frames.

binned or flogged the bits

I think there's two schools of thought on this. Theoretically I agree with you, but emotionally not at all. My bikes are part of my memories and have a lot of sentimental value.

I have just done the opposite: keeping most of the bits, and beloved 'old' frame is going for sale. Realised how long it is since I rode it (and how much I want a singular hummingbird!) so had a little 'moment' as i dismantled 'Swiss Tony' (the last of my bikes to have a name) this morning.

Oh if it was me, i would keep the Switch until I broke it and leave the meta for another year.

Every time I go into the garage for anything I always look at my old faithful steed & go, 'aaahhh'
If I said to the S.O. 'it's me or the dog' she'd pick the dog, & If she said to me, 'it's me or the bike' well, lets just say I'd be single.

lol at essel
Well stupidly I am very attached to the switch. But it is a very old bike, meant to go down (it has a very slacked seat angle and going up with just a 140 mm fox fork is quite hard) and fast.
Arggg I am such a wuzz when it come to choices 😀
