Anyone else had an account deletion warning from Garmin?

I've had an email come through from Garmin, advising that my account has been inactive for years and would be deleted in 60 days if I didn't log in.

I took it to be a scam, but looking at the sign in links etc. it does appear to be genuine & part of a Purge campaign.

My account is very active, I'm logged in and use it several times a week. I'm also logged in on the Connect App on my phone.

When I click on the Sign On button in the email I'm taken to my current, active & logged in profile page.

Anything I should be doing as I've got years of stuff on there that I wouldn't want to lose by just ignoring it?

-- Edit --

I thought that I'd log out and back in again just to be on the safe side, but it appears that I can't log out, the website generates a server error (logging out from the main Garmin site, not Connect).

I've had them.  Assuming it's from an old email until proven otherwise

Yes, but in my case it was legit as hadn't used a Garmin device in years.

IT security fail.

You expressed concern that it was a scam email, yet you clicked the link anyway. You should have ignored the email and if you wanted to sign in to be sure your account was ok then you should have browser to the Garmin site yourself or used a Garmin app.

If it was a scam mail it could have still looked convincing and sent you to the real site but grabbed your login details in the middle.

I hovered over the link and could see that it was Garmin's domain, but maybe that's an error. I didn't, and wouldn't, have logged in from the link.

Anyway, I did change my log in email some years ago so maybe it is just an old email address

This can lead to a Homograph Attack, where a letter (for instance "i") is replaced by a similar looking character which takes you to a spoofed page.

Yes from an old email from a first device. I ignored it and assume they will delete the account (which I don't use).

Same as @TiRed - I saw it was an old email but it still smelt scammy enough to ignore it. Active account still working fine. Maybe drop Garmin a support email?

I had the same and ignored it. Just had a follow up to say my account had now been deleted.

All my Garmin stuff still works and Im assumed it was something to do with buying directly from them, which I have not done for years.

If you have a Garmin Connect account, did the email arrive at the email account linked to GC? Mine did not and then I realised I must have had an old unused account. Probably from a purchase via a work email.

Yes had that too, then a one to say it had expired. I went direct to site and logged in just fine. Not that I use it much since I switched to Apple.
