I'm taking the notion for a night ride and am just wondering if anyone has been up there today?
Is there much snow/ice left after todays thaw?
Smee - if you do go, could you please post up on conditions ? I am thinking of going early tomorrow am. With Hub being shut we cannae phone them. Cheers

I was up there yesterday, the lower stuff was grand but it started to get sketchy above the buzzards nest. But it was wet slushy snow mainly so most of that will have gone today. There was a fair bit of hard ice about though on the higher trails. Great fun though.
Just back from a great solo night ride at GT.
Condition wise anything above the Spooky Wood climb is still pretty icy and probably not worth it if you have to travel any distance.
Up the red to the Spooky Wood shortcut, down Betty Blue, down a snowy Deliverance etc made for a good route though.

It was. Ipod random shuffle came up with Salva Mea just as I was starting down Deliverance. Couldn't have picked a better tune if I'd tried.
