I've just got a orange clockwork frame and it's time to respray it. Has anybody got one who could post pictures to give me some ideas on colour schemes? I'm thinking about a green but im not sure. Thanks in advance.

I'd paint it up in the traditional orange and white fade.

It's such a cool and classic bike 8)

I always used to lust after an orange and white fade Clockwork with chrome RC30's.

not a clockwork but it was a free paint job from a mate when the boss was on holiday ๐Ÿ˜†

This was the day I picked it up , I wish it still looked as spangly!

Dont do it! The original paint job is one of the the biggest features of the classic frame.
You would be a fool to repaint!

Unfortunately the paint was hand resprayed by the previosu owner in a dull blue ๐Ÿ˜ˆ It's just finding a place to get it sprayed

My dad has a pristine and completely original Orange Clockwork Prestige in the garage that he's owned since new (in about 1990 or thereabouts). He pretty much bought it and then stopped riding.

It's got the original orange and white fade paint job and is set up with a full XT group set, Mavic MA40s, the original Pace RC30s (the black ones with straight blade 531 fork legs)and even a Girvin Flexstem!

He's never going to ride it again, but he just won't part with it!

Maybe if someone could give an indication as to what it would be worth he could be persuaded.

I had one back in the day but it was plain grey. Not a clue what paint Orange used but it was bombproof. Was going to have the orange and white fade but was given a great deal on the grey one.

My original Clockwork (well after I bent the original forks and replaced them with AccuTrax) stayed in its orange & white colour scheme for about 5 years.

Then Dave Lloyd did this black & orange fade for me.....

And here she is again back in December...

Tis not as bad as you think!
If I could ride her then I'd have never stopped, but she was retired in '97 due to a cracked seat tube, just below the lug at the top. She'd hung in the garage ever since until I decided to try the snowbike. Would never risk her as a bike again, the crack goes round about 60% of the circumference.

My mates C16r was mat black with orange decals. I thought it looked good

I believe that the C16r was the replacement to the clockwork. Like a p7 but not heat treated cro mo
