Looking around at something other than the NN/RR combo I've run for the last few seasons, and these Specialized look light and interesting.
EDIT: in-fact Specialized tyres in general
I recently put a Sauserwind on the back of my FSR.
I haven't really ridden much lately, but it seems like a pretty good tyre; grips well and I haven't noticed it dragging.
I've still got a Purgatory on the front, so can't really comment on it's effectiveness as a front tyre; although I do like the Purgatory don will probably stick with that...
Thanks, I assume that they came on the bike given your user-name?
Good points.
Light weight, cheap, fast.
Bad points.
Narrow for size, low volume, poor grip in mud and gravel loose etc.
My ones seemed to wear quickly but then again I used them front and back for a whole summer and summer tyres because they are used on hardpack wear much faster than winter mud tyres.
Overall as a race type tyre I liked them.
I'm not a huge fan, I've got some lightly used 2.0" S-Works ones you'd be welcome to, but I fear the postage to Sweden would be more than they're worth! They're not as light as a Ralph, but should be tougher.
Interesting comments guys, thanks
Very kind of you njee20.
Would like to try one on the front so might just bite the bullet and get one and see.
I'm going tubelesss this year and thought I'd use the excuse to find something more confidence inspiring than a NN up front.
njee if you want to sell them how mcuh? and are they 2bliss
+1 specialknees
although personally prefer Ralphs
Are people using Ralph's on the front, I have always used them on the rear?
