Just seen this bike comes in on budget and currently in stock.

It’s the Core 2 version so not the best build I guess.

Was looking at a Ripley AF or 2022 Top Fuel but can’t get any lead time on the Ripley and the Trek is possible July but not actually a set date.

Any Izzo owners here? Happy? How’s the sizing?

Yup, happy with mine but haven’t ridden it a huge amount for reasons nothing to do with the bike.

I have the GX version, which was the Pro I think, was well specced for the price (I got pre-brexit pricing though, just)

At 6ft I would have put myself on a Large but after popping into the Mill at Guildford they suggested an XL and it fits well

Didn’t realise they had a Uk base. I’m about 45miles from the Mill so I might pop down there.

Do they have bikes to sit on/try?

The mill is a demo centre, so phone up to find out what they have in stock to demo, once you order one i believe it comes via the same route as any online buyer, the mill is only really a showroom and demo centre from my understanding.

Izzo owner here - love mine and had it around 2 years without any issues.

It was a ‘Pro’ then which at the time was well specced. Can see spec not as good now but in current market still looks great value.

Only changes were to get rid of the Forekasters (made of cheese) and ridiculous twistloc lockout. Been faultless once they were replaced.

I have subsequently changed the fork spring to make it 140mm but that was personal preference, it was fine as it was really but does run out of poise eventually in chunk (albeit well after my skill runs out normally).

I’m 6ft, 92 kilos with long arms and legs so YT told me to go with the XL. I went with the L as it felt more natural coming from a 27.5 - I think you would be fine either way but the YT guys know their stuff so would trust their assessment.

I don’t think you will be disappointed - the only bike I would swap it for is a Spur, but they are like rocking horse poo, witches tears etc etc

I had one but sold it quite quickly. I was trying to combine a trail bike and XC bike into one bike and it did not do either properly. In terms of riding I’m much more XC.

They're excellent bikes. Hard (if not impossible) to beat the spec for the price. Definitely more "trail" than "XC" but would be happy to pull double duty if you're after a one bike solution.

As above though, sizing is a bit weird. At 6ft bang on I was umming and ahhing between a large / XL but ended up buying a Spur.

What did you replace it with?
