Is it best to:
- find a partner who mountain bikes?
- find a partner who doesn’t mountain bike but who is bike-curious and try and convert them?
- find a partner who has a different expensive hobby and so who has no choice but to tolerate/encourage my mountain biking?

d) find a partner who has zero awareness of mounting biking nor the costs involved and will describe my latest n+1 purchase as “the bike”.

e) stay/become single and be allowed to spend every spare penny on bike-related purchases?

Cuz it was good idea in theory but in practice, crap? Saddles wouldn’t stay in position, and flexed as much as a housebrick.
