Is anyone aware of any issues I might face switching chainsets on my Boardman FS Team 650b?
It currently has a FSA Comet 368 39/27t and an SRAM X5 mech.
Looking to change it to a Shimano SLX M675 HollowTech II Double 38/24t.
I think the current BB needs changing and read some poor reviews of the current one so figured it might be an idea to change it and get a slightly nicer gear ratio for climbing.

I've swapped the chainset on my Boardman 29er yesterday. I assume it's BB30?? If so, I got some of the works BB adapters from On-One and banged in an SLX 38/26 double I had from my other 29er. Seems to be fine (not ridden it yet 😆 )
Team or Pro?
If it's the Team then it's a very similar setup only it has an X7 mech rather than an X5. I can't see from the photos if its a direct or a post/clamp mount though. Mines a direct, I don't know if that makes any difference though.
The BB on mine (and the Team 29er) is a 'FSA Mega Exo 68mm Shell'
Ahhh. Mine is the Pro and has a BB30. If you're buying a complete new SLX chainset, it "should" come with a new BB anyway. Remove the POS FSA and enjoy 😀
