Following a very tongue in cheek question to one of the directors in our agency, we have been told that we will be getting a C2W scheme by the end of this year.

About ruddy time, too 🙄

You've got to laugh when the one agency that actually 'manages' C2W doesn't get it until its not worth it...

I'm laughing on the inside, honest!

Spent the last 4 years being told that we didn't need it as I could have an interest free salary advance of £400 instead.

Mind you, any scheme is dependent on the HR pay system being able to cope with the deductions and the tax implication, so breath is not being held.....

Don't forget the number they pulled when they extended the astra zeneca voucher scheme ruling to cycle to work making deductions VAT chargable. Personally, I'd wait and get one in the sales. HMRC wins by making the scheme difficult to navigate and remove most of the benefits from the end user. It still benefits the employer though. So HMRC has created it's very own scheme to save employer NI whilst not impacting on its own revenue stream of VAT. Cynicism abounds.
