In looking at buying a few Focus Thunder 3.0's for the guiding business, they look pretty reasonable for the money, but does anyone have any 1st hand experience of them or any of their bikes using the "knuckle box" suspension linkage?

The Super Bud in the shop looks well sorted, but it's only 100mm travel, they didn't have any of the 140mm Thunder's.
Looks like it's google-a-review time.
I've got a Focus estate. 2 bikes in the back no problem, I love it.

rode a focus hardtail for a couple of years, great bike well speced light responsive and as good going up as it was down, liked the look of the thunder but the one I had my eye on wasnt brought in by wiggle.
I've got a super bud team and I love it. Getting Focus specific spares for it is a nightmare though, I've been waiting a month now for pivot bushes.
couple of mates ride focus hardtails. They're well specc'd and pretty light and come in at a decent price. Look the part too, but I've had no experience of their FS bikes.
i have the old version a big bud & thats ace.its the same bike really .its basically a diamond back mission .if you look on mtbr they rave about them on there .
i like it & ive had mine 3 years & it rides awesome.
can take up 6" travel forks too .

Damned bikes are out of stock. Gonna have to wait for 2012 models to be delivered in late August.
Was offered some BH Ultralite Trail Hunters, but just didn't feel the love for them. Frame design was pretty old fashioned and kit wasn't to the same level as the Focus bikes.
Ahh well, just have to soldier on for another couple of months.
