This was mine.

I'M 5 11" and it fit fine.

It was ok but considering the amount of money it cost to build i think i expected more. Much prefer my Alpine 160 as my 'all mountain' bike.

I rode it all over including the big mountains southern spain so feel like during the 10 or so months i got to know it.

Id happily throw it off drops and jumps even though the frame is pretty much 100% carbon, only issues were around the lower bearings where rocks had started to smash some of the carbon away actually exposing the bearing housing.

I had both coil and air shocks but actually preferred the air, id say that the bike (or suspension platform) isn't the plushest out there but would say its quite efficient.

Mine weighed around 31lbs in the above guise but that front tyre weighed 2lbs

thanks for the quick response.
it's either this or the nomad carbon and not sure which one. ahhh the agony as it's an expensive decision to make.

I just thought maybe the Blur lt will do me but I've got deemax wheels to fit and fox 36's.

I recently tried a Medium Carbon Nomad,(I am 5"8) Sizing wise and it was spot on.

Although it was very stiff and great on the downhills, I thought it lacked a little in pedalling efficiency while climbing.I faffed a lot with differing shock and fork pressures. Eventually finding a sweet spot with about a third sag on the rear.

The tested bike initially feels low at the front (with a 160 fork)I think it would suit a 180 better with a short stem to keep some weight and stability on the front tyre.

Great bike though but not quite worth the money (for me) as an all day bike..

If you're fitting Dmax and 36s I would go for the Nomad C. The weight difference is minimal and those components are better suited to it.

Or get a Mojo HD.

+1... such a versatile frame, here's mine in 140mm mode rear, 160mm front. Can also set it up to run a different shock on the back (coil or air) for 160mm of travel. Mine comes in at 28lbs dead even as you see it, and rides like a dream up or down ๐Ÿ˜€

Most LT's seem to be built around 140mm Fox 32's, what 36's would you put on it? They may make it feel a little weird.

Considering the Nomad weighs the same as the LT, I can't really see the benefit of it. It's a bit shorter and steeper too.

The Mojo might be a choice worth considering, they weigh similar to a Nomad C so they will all build up the same amount. The swap shock/travel arrangement is probably more of a faff than it's worth bothering with.

I could get a better deal on a Nomad C than I could on the Mojo, so went with that. I don't think you would go far wrong with either ๐Ÿ™‚
